Change
the Report Fonts?
Select the Utility Programs from the main menu. Then chose
the System Parameters. Now select the Report Format tab. Simply click
on the element of the report you wish to change and the select the
font, size, color, bold or italic as appropriate.
Download with a Netscape Browser?
If you Netscape browser does not download the file but displays the contents
on the screen it means that the action specified for an ".exe" file extension
is incorrect. You should change the setting to "Save" or "Save As". It is
probably set to "Read".
Alternatively, you can right-click on the download link and select "Save"
or "Save As".
e-Mail a Report?
There are two methods. First, you can click on the mail icon in the report
viewer. This will launch your e-mail program and attach the report. You simply
select the recipients.
Alternatively, you can select the Save as Text option in the print dialog box
and save the report in a folder. Then you can launch your e-mail program and
attach the text version of the report to the e-mail. The text version of the
report is saved in a format that Wordpad can open so the user simply clicks
on the attachement and views the report in WordPad.
Logon to the Demo?
The default user for the demo is "Admin" and no password is required.
You can add your own user name and password using the User Manager under the
Utility Programs menu.
Network the Application?
First, install the Demo on the network server.
Second, run the WorkStation.exe program (found in the folder where you
installed the application) on each work station. This program will copy
the runtime files in the Windows System folder,
register the ActiveX components and create a desktop shortcut to run
the application.
Personalize the Program for our Organization?
Select the Utility Programs from the main menu. Then chose
the System Parameters. Enter your organization name, address, telephone
number and contact name etc.
Put Reports on the Internet?
In the print dialog box check the Save as HTML option. After the report
is generated
a file dialog box will be displayed. Enter a name and select the folder where you
want the report to be saved. Then from your school web site create a link to this
file.
Alternatively, you can buy our Live Web Reports module that generates
the reports for the Internet when requested by a vistor to your site.
This module is currently available for Actvity Manager Pro.
Setup Users and Password?
Select the utility programs from the main menu. Then choose the User Manager
manager. Simply click the "+" sign on the list of users
to create a new user. Give the new user a user name and a password
(maximum of 8 characters). Then assign the user a user group.
Note: If you assign the user to the "Restricted User" group the user will only be able to see information but not change it.
